This innovation came to life when…

Working at Whole Meal Cafe, many customers told me they were cutting carbs/gluten for weight loss. They didn’t miss pasta, potatoes and sugar but everyone struggled to remove bread! This sparked a crazy idea to create gluten-free bread with only one gram of carbs per slice and Protein Bread became a top seller!

Fast forward two years, and my love for innovation has grown from one product to a new innovative venture, The Protein Bread Company which was founded in February 2014. Our business model breathes life into the struggling baking industry, injecting it with masses of new clients that previously would have never set foot in a bakery!

Enable our end consumer to enjoy the convenience, satisfaction and love of bread without the guilt (and side effects) of consuming gluten, carbs and sugar. Love your Bread. Nourish your body. Basically, have your bread and eat it too!

Being nutritionally superior to regular bread and unrivalled in the marketplace.

Baked with a combination of top quality nutritious and gluten-free ingredients including pea protein, whey protein, golden flaxmeal, almondmeal, chia seeds and linseeds, Protein Bread becomes a nutrient dense breakfast, lunch or snack with just one gram of carbs and eight grams of protein per slice. It is free of wheat, soy, gluten, sugar and yeast.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

With 80 per cent more protein yet 80 per cent less carbs than other breads, and being a gluten free product that is not full of sugar, tapioca and potato starch, Protein Bread appeals to the masses of consumers that have eliminated bread from their diet for a vast array of health/lifestyle reasons from diabetes, allergies, obesity, or coeliac disease.

The ability to simply enjoy peanut butter toast and a sandwich for lunch whilst loving everything about the experience and effects on their body. Bread is such a staple yet many of our customers have has to force themselves to miss out on it for years.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Simply provide the facts. We are proud of our ingredients and the nutritional content of our product. We have a one-level affiliate program where Personal Trainers promote our products, earning themselves commission, and are in final negotiations with two national healthy fast food retailers who are going to add Protein Bread to their menus.
