Check out the new Twitter list of Anthill contributors
Anthill Magazine (in both its print and digital incarnations) has always had a rich and varied group of editorial contributors. In light of Twitter's newish lists feature - which allows users to compile and/or follow curated lists of Twitter users - we thought it was worth creating a list containing all of Anthill's regular contributors who are active on Twitter.

Luke Faccini, Director of Creativity at Sydney-based agency The Sponge, was one of the hundred plus people to attend the Venture Capital by Design seminar co-hosted by Anthill Magazine and MitchelLake in Sydney last week. He thought the insights on offer were sufficiently meaty to warrant this write-up.

Youi launches national radio campaign touting its "cool" Anthillian cred
Well now it seems that the marketers at Youi thought an insurance company winning a national business award for coolness was a pretty good point of difference. So much so that they have launched a national radio advertising campaign crowing about their cool triumph.

Anthill print back issues in the bargain basement basket already? That didn’t take long.
Anthill print editions always had a pass-on rate -- i.e. how many people read the same copy -- that was well above the industry average. In other words, they had a great shelf life. However, it seems that, in some people at least, the desire to continue sharing Anthill back issues is more pressing than the desire to wait patiently for their collection to mature into a golden egg.

In this special post Anthill Christmas Party episode of The Monthly Schwag, James and Lachy (fail to) put their hangovers aside and chit chat about some of the free stuff we've received from marketers over the past month.
Our debut on Tim Burrowes’ Mumbo Report
I had the pleasure of participating in Burrowes' latest product extension, the Mumbo Report, when in Sydney last Friday. It was in many ways flattering to be interviewed from the same seat recently occupied by media doyen Harold Mitchell and SMH editor Peter Fray. However, I'm still undecided about whether I should have had that third espresso before stepping before the camera. (I'll let you be the judge.)

Samuel Yeats, 2009 Anthill 30under30 winner

What is Anthill? News Ltd thinks we’re a ‘marketing website’
It seems that with Anthill moving away from its print origins, the mainstream print media has become less coy about including Anthill activities as part of newspaper content. This weekend, Anthill made its News Ltd debut, appearing in the Herald Sun and its various 'sister' publications throughout our great nation. (It only took five years!) Despite the good exposure, the most valuable outcome, from our perspective, from these events is that they have forced us to start practicing what we preach and get some clarity around own branding. Can we be a 'magazine' without a regular print product? Are we a community, a channel, a media outlet? Perhaps we're something else yet again?
