Cool Company Awards

The Cool Company Awards were launched in 2006 as a way for Anthill to acknowledge and celebrate Australian organisations that are doing things differently to bring about positive change. Cool Companies stay one step ahead of the rest. They breed leaders who are rule-makers and rule-breakers. They are trend-setters in attitude and action. Quite simply, they are … cool! More.

Ben Bradshaw was initially a magician who found he could dazzle with Google Adwords.

His friends, after seeing his success promoting his own show, asked him to promote their businesses as well. He ran numerous accounts on Adwords for them, imparting his knowledge on how to best optimise each account for greater traffic and conversions.

After pulling a string of successful client project from out of his sleeve, the idea to transform this skill into a business lodged itself in his mind, and abracadabra… SponsoredLinX burst onto the stage.

Ten years later, the business has over 100 staff and clients from all corners of globe. That’s success you can’t just pull out of your hat!

Unlike other players in the online marketing sphere, SponsoredLinX was the first of its kind to offer its services on a non-contractual basis, aligning their success with that of the client through a results-based arrangement of transparent reporting and simple monthly management fees.

The organisation’s work environment is a fun one, with table tennis battles during lunch as well as lunchtime yoga.

And the kicker? KPI challenges are set for teams to meet, with rewards like… Dunking the boss in a dunking machine! Now tell me that’s not cool (especially for the manager).

But its all okay, because Ben can free himself from a straitjacket, under water, in 38 seconds! Da-daaaa!
