Renece Brewster, the founder of Data Creative, started her business when she came across what she felt was an “irresistible niche market.” Data Creative is a marketing service that creates personalised videos for its client’s customer base. Data Creative uses customer data to create personalised footage, animations, audio and images and delivers those videos via email, SMS or social-media.
With such an overwhelming amount of content for consumers to engage with online, here are a few reasons why personalised videos are growing in demand:
- People spend two and half times longer watching content that is personally relevant.
- Business achieve a 20% increase in sales when leads are nurtured with targeted content.
- 50% of online traffic through mobiles is generate through videos.
- Business will see 65% boost in email open rates when the term ‘personalised video’ is used.
A cool example of how a personalised video works is the membership campaign Data Creative created for the Hawthorn Football Club. Using customer data, they were able to create a personalised campaign to entice previous members to renew. Of the 2959 unique clicks from un-renewed members, 41.5% purchased a membership. The service that Data Creative provides for their clients sounds cool but what about their company culture? They celebrate every accomplishment big or small by employing the magic of music. They even have specific songs for each achievement. Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push it”, for every update ‘pushed’ live and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop it like it’s hot” when they complete a campaign.
The people at Data Creative also try to do their bit for the environment by creating a platform that has eliminated the need for mail-outs and reduces waste. They also encourage staff to use public transport rather than cars, which seems to be working because all but one member of the team gets to work by tram. 
Stella the office dog is also part the team. She helps out when anyone is low on energy or feeling a bit stressed out, by demanding that they participate in a game of catch or a run at the park.
Data Creative is a cool company, at the forefront of trend. It’s helping to change the way businesses interact with and connect with their customers online.
