Imagine a bracelet that let’s you stay in touch with someone, literally!
Tactilu is just that. It’s a bracelet that allows two people to touch, even when they are miles apart.
The bracelet has two main elements; one for sending data, one for receiving. The data is translated into ‘touch’ using haptic feedback.
The touch is transmitted between two people via bluetooth and an internet connection that is provided via smartphones.
The device is a work in progress and has been created by Polish new media collective, panGenerator and Cheil.
Long distance relationships might just take on a new level of complexity, once this device makes it to market.
