But hats must be taken off and waved in a way that is deserving of a company that is willing to make an ad like this!

Yes, that’s not a sentence I ever expected to write, let alone one you expected to read!
Optus have paid Ricky Gervais to appear in an ad to promote Netflix.
And it’s brilliant.
Because it pulls no punches. Gervais says what every consumer thinks when we see a celebrity endorsing a product for a big brand.
It’s received close to two million views already and, it’s going to be one of the more memorable ads from an Australian company for a long time to come.
I’ll say it again. Well played Optus, well played.
If Optus can be this ‘brave’ with its marketing, any company can!
