30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians.

Base is aimed at creating spaces and experiences that incubate and connect people and ideas. The company, co-founded by Al Jeffery and Simon Harman, is developing Australia’s first co-living and co-working space in Footscray, Victoria.
Base focuses on crafting highly curated and intimate gatherings and events for those doing disruptive work to allow “idea-sex” to take place (ed. – okay, “idea-sex” is the company’s own term, but we think we know what they mean – eh, or at least, most of our ideas involve “sex” somehow, uh, right?!). Base also creates physical spaces for community and disruptive creation to take place. So that’s idea-sex and physical space… Right! Gotta keep it clear.
“I am driven by the incredible time we live in,” Al recently told us.
“More empowered than any previous generation and more collaborative than ever before. We just need new spaces, new connections and new ideas to leverage all this opportunity!”
