Lorenzo Coppa has seen it all. As founder and CEO of eStore, he’s nurtured an idea uncomfortable to Australian consumers, over a 20 year period, to become the nation’s largest independent online retailer of computer and technology products.

And to think that in 1991, he faced a market that was antsy about exposing its credit cards online. Oh, how far we’ve come.

Today, eStore processes about 10,000 orders a month. The company cleared more than $46 million in revenue in the latest fiscal year.

In a wide-ranging interview with Anthill 30under30 alumnus Jack Delosa of The Entourage, Coppa talks about how he sold the eStore concept to Australia. He also dishes on how he navigated successfully through the dot-com bust, offers advice to “offline” business on Internet marketing, and reveals the identity of his favorite how-to text on succeeding in business.
