In 2012, Samsung ran video #1 for its Galaxy S. Now, I’m pretty sure it’s not me but, this ad seems so very wrong.
Interestingly, it is also an unlisted video on YouTube. This means that it can only be viewed if you have the link to it. It won’t be found in search listings.
This year’s ad (Video #2) is a far less creepy affair.
It’s a little reminiscent of a Steve Ballmer company morale boosting speech but it doesn’t have the whole Mrs Santa Claus sex tape undertone that was somehow deemed appropriate last year.
Is this a new direction for Samsung holiday marketing? It seems so.
