    1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

We realised many people have food allergies and there are large numbers of them having multiple food allergies, especially gluten, dairy and egg. These multiple food allergies sufferers have difficulties finding cakes they can eat without falling sick yet still tasting yummy.

We also noticed that the vegan community (those who don’t consume animal products e.g. dairy, egg and honey) is growing quite steadily too.

    2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…cater to multiple food allergies sufferers. Our easy baking cake premix helps those who wish to bake their own cakes or live in isolated areas in Australia and have limited access to allergy-friendly products.

And unlike most allergy friendly cake premixes, my Sweets Paradise Cake Premix produces yummy cakes and contains no artificial flavour, colour, preservative, no xanthan/guar gum.

    It does this by…

You simply add the liquids to the my Sweets Paradise cake premixes, e.g. water and oil for Vegan Brownies Knight, banana puree, lemon juice and oil for Vegan Banana Brown Army, almond milk, lemon juice and oil for Vegan Caramel Brown Princess and then pop it to the oven. All our cake premixes require no electric mixer.

    3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

…it offers yummy easy-to-bake cakes with natural ingredients, similar to home-baked cakes but with more convenience. They are specifically designed to cater to multiple food allergies sufferers (gluten, dairy, egg free) and vegans.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

It is convenient, not fussy to bake, requires no electric mixer, contains healthy brown rice flour and/or potato starch and is available to customers anywhere especially those living in isolated areas or those with limited access to bakeries.

    4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

…no-bake raw cakes or commercial cake premixes that mostly contain xanthan gum or guar gum or using egg replacer and the cake premixes developed for gluten free purpose with optional egg free and dairy free. None of these are really tasty.

    Its predecessors/competitors include…

Orgran, Melinda’s Gluten Free Cake Mix, Bakels, Yes You Can Gluten Free Cake Mix, Well and Good Gluten Free Cake Mix

    5. TARGET MARKET

    It is made for…

…coeliac, dairy intolerance sufferer, egg allergy sufferer, multiple food allergies sufferer (gluten, dairy and egg allergies) and vegans.

It is available for sale through…

…our Facebook page and a third party online store.

    Our marketing strategy is to…

..use product review campaigns, word of mouth, media publicity (online and conventional media), Google ranking, digital marketing campaigns, promote to cafes, bakeries, hotels, restaurants and wholesalers & retailers.
