It’s easy to forget that, while we work away, up there in space, there are people working away at their day jobs.

One man aboard the International Space Station has managed to reinvigorate the world’s interest in what is happening in orbit.

It’s not a surprise that he used social media to do it.

Commander Chris Hadfield has spent the past five months onboard the International Space station. In that time, he has amassed 850,000 Twitter followers and has created some sensational YouTube Videos.

Today, he returns to Earth.

He has now recorded the world’s first music clip performed in space. It is none other than David Bowie’s Space Oddity.

In less than a day, it’s been viewed almost three million times. So, not only is he a great astronaut, he’s also a genius content marketer.

There’s only one word for this: Awesome.
