James Tuckerman

Over the past six years, James Tuckerman has built one of Australia’s leading media brands for the SME business segment (Anthill Magazine), an event company (Anthill Events) and one of Australia’s Top 50 Business & Finance websites (Anthill Online).

During this time, he has grown teams, re-engineered business models, implemented marketing and sales campaigns (through B2B, retail, digital and DM channels), streamlined operational practices in a logistically complex industry, raised private equity and built an entirely new market segment.

Trained in Law at the University of Melbourne (BA / LLB), he commenced his career as a public relations consultant, where he specialized in corporate finance and investor relations projects, providing a diverse mix of corporate and marketing skills that would lay the groundwork for his time at Anthill.

He is sought as a media commentator (from Sky News to Today Tonight) on topics ranging from new media to raising venture capital in Australia. He is an occasional guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne, RMIT University and Swinburne University.
