Right now, what you are doing, is probably killing you.
It’s killing me as I write this article.
It’s sitting down.
More and more, people are sitting. We sit for longer each day than we sleep.
On average, people living modern, western lives sit for 9.3 hours a day. We sleep for just 7.7 hours.
And, it’s killing us.
One easy way around this is, every time you take a meeting, walk. Have a walking meeting.
Sure, it’s winter and that may make things more challenging, but it shouldn’t stop you.
In this TED talk from Nilofer Merchant, she explains how she discovered a way to work and walk.
Get up. Walk out of that meeting. This way, it’s less likely to kill you.
