The inventor of the World Wide Web is to touch down on Australians soil on 27 January, his first visit to the country in 15 years. He will tour five cities including Wellington in New Zealand.
The web is no longer a digital version of print. It is the space where conversation is facilitated. Websites are becoming applications that feed information out to various social-based platforms. This means that most brands need to start thinking about their website as a database that organises and distributes information and features to specific groups within the world of social media.
When redditors come together many great things can happen. They can trash a video of the National Organization for Marriage or they can help a homeless man with a golden voice. This example ain’t nothing so fancy, but nevertheless proves that people can come together to give life to each other’s ideas.
So you’ve spent your time building a community based on sharing knowledge. But the larger it gets, the more it costs to run. Do you shut down your network or do you get creative about how to offer a service and be paid at the same time? Angelina Russo poses the question.
