1. THE BEGINNING
This innovation came to life when…
Our co-founders were frustrated with huge inefficiencies in the recruiting/hiring process. Phone-screening individual candidates is very time-consuming and expensive (time is money). We set out to create a better tool for quickly assessing if a candidate is qualified enough to move forward to an in-person interview.
2. WHAT & HOW
The purpose of this innovation is to…
Make the initial screening of candidates as painless as possible for employers. Instead of setting up individual times to talk with potential candidates, Recorded Video Interviews allow the employers to view many candidate submissions in a short period of time.
It does this by…
Allowing employers to create questions that they would normally ask in an initial phone screen. Candidates then record their responses via webcam, along with a short introduction about themselves. Their recording is uploaded for the employer to view at their convenience. Super efficient!
3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS
This innovation improves on what came before because…
It saves employers and HR managers so much time! Phone screens are clunky and ineffective. Candidates no longer have to repeat their story on multiple calls with different members of the hiring team. Their video submission can be shared for all team members to review.
The benefits to the customer/end-user include…
Huge savings in time and money. Traditional phone interviews can take 20 or 30 minutes. Using Recorded Video Interviews, employers can screen four or five candidates in the same amount of time.
4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE
In the past, this problem was solved by…
Setting up individual phone interviews with each potential candidate. This is very tedious work and takes unnecessary time away from the hiring manager.
Its predecessors/competitors include…
The telephone, in-person interviews, Skype. None of these are as valuable as Recorded Video Interviews because they need to be scheduled and executed individually.
5. TARGET MARKET
This innovation is made for…
Employers looking to hire and candidates looking for a job. Companies of all sizes are benefiting from the product globally. In Australia for example, Woolworths is currently using our Recorded Video Interviews to save hours in their graduate recruitment program. This program receives a huge volume of applications and Recorded Video Interviews allow Woolworths to screen candidates much faster than phone screening.
6. DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY
It is available for sale through…
The RecruitLoop web app. Employers can register online for free, and start inviting candidates within minutes. Once candidates have recorded their video interview, employers can log in and view the videos from any web browser, anytime that suits.
Our marketing strategy is to…
Build out the RecruitLoop network of experienced recruiters, then present the platform and the Recorded Video Interviews tool to employers of all sizes. We intend to disrupt the recruiting industry and its steeply priced commission structure.
