OK Go brings you… Chihuahuas on swivel chairs.

There’s a risk that OK Go will be best remembered in the annals of rock history not for its music but for its highly viral video-clips. But it’s also probable that the Chicago-based outfit really doesn’t care.

As big fans of creativity in any form, we’ve covered this rock act before, when it released its This Too Shall Pass video featuring this most bodacious Rube Goldberg Machine, likely to inspire the inventor in us all.

The YouTube darlings broke records with their breakout single Here It Goes Again in 2006, featuring an elaborately choreographed dance on treadmills. Here It Goes Again was viewed by over one million people on YouTube in its first six days. It has since has been viewed over 50 million times, putting it in 42nd place for the most views of any video and 29th place for most viewed music video on YouTube.

This Too Shall Pass has recorded 17 million views and also became the subject of an interesting Ted talk.

Today (’cause it’s Friday), we’re pleased to bring you the band’s latest clip (and song), White Knuckles, released on Monday 20 September. The video doesn’t stray too far from OK Go’s winning recipe, featuring the band, one-take and some entertaining extras. True to form, the video reportedly involved 124 takes (at times, you can almost see the exhaustion on the band-members’ faces) and in four days it has been viewed over three million times.

It’s hard to not watch this clip without cracking a smile (even if you’re a cat person).
