Owen Kelly is a director and internet entrepreneur. You may remember the name. In March of this year, Anthill became Kelly’s casting couch for his internet-documentary on Melbourne-area startups.
Kelly’s interviews with fellow entrepreneurs will be featured on his Novede site. The project has straightforward name: Venture. The plan is to post a couple of interviews a week. The goal, Kelly says, is to inspire others to get up, go out and create something amazing.
His first interview for the series is shown here. It’s an extended and enlightening chat with Rebecca Scott, founding CEO of STREAT, a social enterprise aimed at helping homeless youth. STREAT sets up street cafes and trains the homeless to work in them. Trainees develop work and life skills, and the communities get good eats.
