Online restaurant reservation company, Dimmi recently announced a new partnership with iVvy, an online marketplace that lets you search and compare function space in real-time. Together Dimmi and iVvy will help to fill thousands of private dining rooms and function spaces that so often go unused.

Founded in 2009, Dimmi, a TripAdvisor company, is Australia’s top restaurant reservations platform, connecting diners with the right restaurant for whatever moment they are eating out for, be it a first date, a business deal, a family catch up or a 90th birthday.

Through its website and mobile app, diners can discover and instantly book any of more than 2,800 of the country’s hottest restaurants nationwide that Dimmi partners with, as well as over 35 online booking partners including Qantas, Zomato (formerly Urbanspoon), Google and Yelp to provide instant confirmed bookings and qualified dining reviews.

What will this Dimmi-iVvy partnership achieve?

The Dimmi and iVvy partnership will provide Aussie restaurants with an easy-to-use and affordable event management solution that will help them attract more bookings and also better manage enquiries in order to maximise revenue.

It will also connect restaurants with a new type of customer – the event organiser.

“We love the iVvy product and we’re excited to help expand their great work in the Aussie restaurant sector. At Dimmi our goal is to help restaurants run a better business and we see this exclusive new partnership as a critical part of that aspiration,” said Stevan Premutico, CEO and founder of Dimmi.

What exactly does iVvy do?

iVvy is a multi-award winning SaaS tech company that is disrupting the hospitality industry with the first international, real-time marketplace for events.

They have pulled this off by developing cloud-based software for each key industry sector within events, including event management software for event organisers and venue management Software for hotels and restaurants.

Venues and restaurants are able to publish their live availability and pricing for their function space into the iVvy marketplace directly targeting their customer, the event organiser.

The event organiser will then use the iVvy Marketplace to search, compare, book and pay for event space, food and beverage and group accommodation (for hotels), locking in event revenue in real-time. This is a first of its kind service in Australia.

Furthermore, they also enable major cost savings, efficiencies and increased profitability for venues, unlike other legacy platforms that typically charge thousands of dollars. As a special introductory offer restaurants can join from just $25 per month, plus a small booking fee.

iVvy, which has been operating for well over six years, basically gives venues and restaurants all the tools they need to manage their event space, right from taking leads and bookings, producing quotes, through to marketing tools and real-time reporting and analytics.

“We are excited to work with Dimmi to deliver a seamless solution for the hospitality industry. iVvy’s function management provides restaurants and hotels with the opportunity to streamline processes and improve profitability,” said Lauren Hall, CEO iVvy.
