What is the 30under30?

30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians.

Each year, we invite our readers to nominate young Australian entrepreneurs deserving of recognition for their outstanding entrepreneurial endeavours. More.

Andrew Raso (b. 1989) and Mez Homayunfard (b. 1989)

Name: Andrew Raso (born May 1989) and Mez Homayunfard (born October 1989)
Age(s): 26
Gender(s): Male
State:  NSW
Known for: Online Marketing Gurus

Andrew Raso and Mex Homayunfard created Online Marketing Gurus after Andrew worked in the industry for a few years. The team identified that while they were able to achieve great results for some clients, they were unable to achieve results for others.

“This presented a learning opportunity,” Andrew told Anthill.

“Why were we able to perform in some niches and not in others? I wanted to create a business where we could help all succeed, no matter their niche. This would require us to be at the forefront of our industry, constantly aware of changes in the space, ideally sooner than they were released.”

The pair counts its greatest sales achievement to date as helping design a joint venture partnership model for OMG’s.

“This model has helped us grow in a short two years of full business operations from turning over $11,000/month in contracts to now where we do just shy of $340,000/month of contracts. I am a great relationships builder. Bringing on a billion dollar company, Equinix, would have to be my biggest achievement,” Andrew added.

In light of staggering successes such as that, Anthill is pleased to announce Andrew Raso and Mez Homayunfard, 2015 30under30 winners!

Anthill asks: Andrew Raso, what’s your superpower?

This has to be my personable nature. I can find common ground quickly and with people from all walks of life. Whether a mother, a CEO, a marketing manager or fellow entrepreneur, you’ll meet me and walk away a friend.
Body language gives away feelings, but it’s how you use this information that matters. I’ve been in many situations when confronted with a person who doesn’t enjoy my company, but my ability to read and alter the situation results in me being able to discover your needs, and ultimately show you how I can be of value to you.
