Seeing a need to help SMEs in Australia to become more systemised, more profitable and more efficient, I started Ocius Digital in November 2013 (originally as a sole trader).

I left a previous role where I had been performing a similar task set, but for large business, and set out to create a company which could provide top quality services but specifically to SMEs in Australia.

Seeing a gap in the market for cloud based small business solutions, I took my experience with Xero and associated software and started Ocius Digital. Too many businesses struggle through no fault of the owner, but held back by process.

We use an approach in our marketing which is to inform the market as much as possible and as freely as possible. There is a lot of misinformation in the market, and in addition small businesses are very time poor. We intentionally make ourselves and our employees as accessible as possible to both clients and prospects.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

Whereas may of our competitors will offer a ‘cookie cutter’ approach we work directly alongside our clients to ensure that they come out the other end of a project with us, much the better for it. In addition, this ensures that we come out a better company too (with learnings from our engagement with them).

Small businesses are now able to scale like never before, and use software that previously would have cost tens of thousands of dollars for less than $100 per month.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

…clunky server based systems, which were very costly and difficult to setup. In addition, they offered no support for remote working and the like.
