1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

In 2015, Michael Haddon became so frustrated by the constraints imposed by existing business software that he decided to create a new type of solution and break the shackles imposed by large vendors. The design specifications were ambitious: it had to be flexible enough to suit any business, scalable enough for growing businesses, powerful enough to compete with enterprise-grade systems, affordable enough for even the smallest business, and easy enough to use so that even non-technical people could design, build and manage a customised system that perfectly fits their business. Kradle was launched in January 2018.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…Kradle is cloud-based software designed for organisations, groups and individuals to help them better self-manage. This is achieved through a customisable suite of tools including a database, workflows, tasks, reporting and instant messaging.

It does this by…

…tools used for data and file management, process management, task & diary management, knowledge management, collaboration and organisational visibility. Individuals use Kradle for managing their day-to-day tasks including family and social circle efficiency. Social and sporting groups use it for collaboration. Businesses and other organisations, including not-for-profit and government, use it to improve performance and visibility.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

Businesses specifically have long been at the mercy of expensive, enterprise business solutions which offer limited options for customisation and are forced to use consultancies for integration solutions as they are often too complex to setup and manage without external expertise.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

A no-code database, designed and built by the user, custom workflows and powerful analytics across both the database and the workflows. Many businesses struggle to move beyond survival mode. These tools provide a new level of productivity.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Most software is made of three things as a foundation:

  • A database, workflows and analytics. How those are configured differentiates solutions such as accounting packages versus CRM for example.
  • Customisation of systems requires technical support from developers or expensive consultants.
  • With Kradle any person can customise the system depending on their needs, including incorporating APIs for existing systems.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

Small to medium businesses because we felt that until now the options for these businesses have been very limited. However, Kradle has been expanded for any organisation, group or individual due to its flexibility and capacity.

It is available for sale through…

Free unlimited users via www.kradle.com. Users may purchase additional resources as required, if required. We are currently developing an internal support service for businesses too time poor to manage their system themselves.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Maximise brand awareness through web and TV advertising, social media, expo attendance and traditional media channels. We have also recently participated in major technology events, including Collision Conference in New Orleans in the US in May 2018 and at London Tech Week in June 2018 for which we were the official major sponsor for the Tech Party.
