Shanti Korporaal’s company, Eintellego, designs and builds large service provider-style networks. The company builds in a modular, elastic way so that networks can scale in size and costing. All that and, according to the Eintellego website they do it with “no BS, no overcharging, no politics – just engineering as you need it.” Alright, now we’re talking!
Shanti recently shared with Anthill just some of the many secrets to her success.
“I’m best known for turning one-off jobs into a long term beneficial relationship. I am an evangelist because my passion is very genuine, if I believe in the product I can sell it. People want to open up to me and give me their life story, because I am very genuine, people’s walls come down quickly,” she said.
To that end, Shanti has one secret weapon working to her advantage.
“My most successful business buzz tool is my pink hair,” she added.
“I’m noticed, recognised and remembered. There is no ice breaking needed at networking events. People come up to me and start talking to me just because I have pink hair. Some of the biggest CEO’s and COO’s we work with love it because it is different, fun and breaks down the normal boring business colours. People always approach me with a smile and it is much easier to connect with people when they approach you with a smile.”
Shanti and her business partner-husband are serial entrepreneurs, currently running five companies, in two countries. Shanti’s pink-hair-driven networking skills seem to be paying dividends.
“In the last seven months we have tuned a few speaking gigs into a multi-million dollar joint venture project with some partners,” she continued.
“This is building one of the most cutting edge networks, with the best network engineers in the industry, for one of the biggest data centre companies in Australia. It is one of the biggest and best projects I have ever worked on and it is very exciting because these style of networks will change the fabric of the internet for the future. Making it more accessible and cheaper for smaller businesses.”
