Lookout, parents!

Water-based, non-toxic nail polish for the wee ones is now a reality, thanks to the good fortune of Pure Poppet, the Australian made, natural play makeup and face paint range for children.

The startup has reached its funding goal of $15,000 via crowd funding platform Pozible has been reached.

Let the pledges flow!

The pledges by the community will now enable Pure Poppet to create a water based, non-toxic, Australian made nail polish range – safe for children’s fingers and toes.

Most nail polish brands are solvent based and use quite toxic ingredients that can be harmful for young children.

Georga Holdich, mumprenuer and founder of Pure Poppet said, “Firstly, I want to thank all of our supporters who have made our dream come true. We have been working on this project and the product development for the past 12 months and it’s now a reality.”

“I am overwhelmed by the support received, some of it from complete strangers who just want to see our project be successful – how great is that!”

Safety first!

“Many of our customers’ children have skin allergies like eczema and they could never use play makeup and face paint due to the reactions they received. But, they’re so happy now as they can use Pure Poppet safely. Now, they can also join in the fun of painting their nails and toes safely,” Holdich added.

Over the past year Pure Poppet has created a complete range of natural play make up options and they now want to add to the collection with water-based, nontoxic nail polishes, that like heir other products, are Australian made.

Kids have a habit of putting their polished pinkies into their mouths, so it’s really important to ensure they are coloured with something safe. Being water-based instead of solvent based really reduces the amount of more toxic ingredients that need to be used to create the product.

Is it Pozible?

Adelaide-based Pure Poppet raised $16,365 in funds via Pozible. The original goal was to generate $15,000 in funding, so the project closed with more funds than anticipated.
