Pure Poppet Founder, Georga Holdich, tells us how her innovative, kid-safe face paint and makeup came to be. You might say it was a creation of necessity – a mother’s necessity.
“I was sick and tired of listening to my daughters asking to use makeup and face paint. I hated all the toxic, overseas-produced products available for children to use as play makeup and face paint and used to throw them in the bin if they entered our house,” Georga tells us.
“I couldn’t find anything natural, nontoxic and Australian made for the girls to play with so created a range myself. Now Poppets everywhere can dress up and use their imaginations with safe, natural and fun products.”
As the brand is all about choosing natural, safe ingredients that are Australian made, Pure Poppet addresses climate change by striving to produce as much as possible locally and therefore reduce its carbon footprint.
Did we mention that Pure Poppet is just Georga, doing it all by herself?
“As I’m pretty much a one woman show, achievements are usually celebrated at home with my family and a bottle of champagne!” she tells us.
“Whether I’m making it to the finals or winning an award, getting through a difficult patch in the business like overcoming financial stress (that seems to be weekly!), or sealing a deal with a great distributor, I will always celebrate with my family and friends as these are the people who support me in running the business and in making it grow.”
