This innovation came to being from the royal commission into the Victorian Black Saturday fires. As an outcome of the investigation it was apparent the emergency agencies operated in silos and could not provide the other agencies or the public with a single view of natural disasters that could effect live or property. Emergency AUS was born from the need to build a single view across Australia, to consume public feeds from 20+ emergency agencies that standardises and normalise data to present App and web users with a complete view of pending natural disasters.
