International workspace offering, Spaces, has arrived in Sydney with its first New South Wales location now launched in Surry Hills.

This contemporary and unique working environment is Spaces’ first Sydney location, the second in Australia, and continues the brand’s global expansion following its most recent launch in New York.

Two kilometres from Sydney’s CBD, Spaces Sydney is located at 111 Flinders Street, Surry Hills. The creative, vibrant workspace is perfectly positioned in Sydney’s most sought after creative industry precinct, with easy access to Crown and Oxford Streets; and café’s, bars and restaurants right on its doorstep.

What does Spaces Sydney have to offer?

Spaces Sydney occupies a 1,517 square metre area; featuring 47 private offices, 222 custom-designed and engineered office seats, a spacious, high-end co-working space, three state-of-the-art meeting rooms, and a large outdoor terrace perfect for al fresco coffee breaks.

The location covers the ground and first floors, featuring soaring high ceilings, polished concrete floors, designer furniture and an abundance of natural light. Premium artwork from the Centre for Contemporary Photography is featured throughout the venue.

An in-house Café Deli serves complimentary freshly ground coffee from single-origin Australian roaster, Where’s Marcel?, with suppliers on call for delivery of fresh and healthy food to cater for Spaces’ events, meeting rooms and Business Club.

Monthly workshops, seminars and events are also offered for those who wish to embrace the community aspect of the brand.

What is the story behind Spaces?

Pioneered in Amsterdam in 2006, Spaces heralds a new, creative and collaborative way of working for entrepreneurs and established businesses alike.

The venue provides a lifestyle-driven professional working environment founded on principles of collaboration and inclusivity, while its authentic, considered design reflects the company’s ‘Inspire to Work’ philosophy.

Managing Director at Spaces, Martijn Roordink, said: “People are far more productive and successful in an enjoyable, social and inspiring work environment, and our Sydney location is no exception.

“Spaces gives members the opportunity to take their careers into their own hands and our events enable them to get involved in the buzz of the Spaces way of life. While our staff take care of all the day-to-day logistics of the workplace, our members are free to connect and get creative.”

Community Developer at Spaces, Margot Van Der Poel, commented on the Sydney Spaces launch and the brand’s desire to expand their distinctive philosophy of a ‘lifestyle driven environment’.

“Just like every one of our offerings, Spaces Sydney delivers an inspiring, quality workplace platform, where Australian entrepreneurs and business professionals can network with like-minded people and make lasting connections,” said Ms Van Der Poel.

“It offers a unique ‘creative community workspace’ that is relaxed and informal, while at the same time curating a productive and professional environment.

“We’re incredibly proud of our latest Spaces Sydney location and have already noticed a huge take-up of our office space even before its completion, which demonstrates the huge demand for flexible working options that we know many Sydney-siders require.”

Spaces is currently located in the following locations: Zuidas, Herengracht and Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam, Rode Olifant in the Hague, London, Melbourne and New York.

Following the launch of Spaces Sydney – Spaces Hofplein in Rotterdam is due to open in February 2016, with venues in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, San Jose, Atlanta, Dallas and Japan planned for the near future.
