Payments technology company, Square recently launched Square Reader, the smallest, most mobile and most affordable card payments device in market, in Australia in March.
CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey (also CEO and co-founder of Twitter) visited Melbourne and Sydney early last month to meet with small business owners who were the early adopters of Square in the local market.
Square Reader has been rapidly adopted by small to medium sized businesses, including cafes, retailers, market traders, food trucks, tradies, consultants, service providers and many more since it’s launch earlier this year. Square Reader plugs into the headphone jack of your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit and debit cards within minutes. It costs $19, and is available at square.com.au or in Officeworks, Bunnings and Apple stores.
