DriveMyCar, Australia’s largest peer-to-peer car rental platform, has just added a range of new BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover and Mini models to its fleet, enabling people to experience a luxury car without the costs involved with owning one.
Through a partnership with Trivett, one of Australia’s largest prestige automotive groups, DriveMyCar will allow drivers to rent premium cars at prices up to 70% cheaper than a similar model from a traditional car rental company.
With 1.9 million Australians using car and ridesharing services in 2016 alone, according to Telsyte research, the demand for these types of services is growing substantially.
Vehicles from many of these luxury brands have previously been unavailable for rent in Australia, despite this the prices are still significantly lower than similar vehicles offered by traditional car rental companies.
For example, one day cruising in a:
- Range Rover Evoque will only cost $75 at DriveMyCar, while a similar model at a traditional car rental company will set drivers back $142.86
- Mini Cooper S will only cost $65 at DriveMyCar, while for a similar price at a traditional car rental company drivers will get a Hyundai Veloster or Toyota Camry
- BMW X1 will only cost $70 at DriveMyCar, while for a similar price at a traditional car rental company drivers will get a Mitsubishi Outlander
Making luxury more accessible
By tapping into Trivett’s luxury fleet, Sydney and Melbourne drivers now have access to affordable luxury.
