PT Manager Pro (VIC)

This innovation initially came to life when…

After founders and experienced personal trainers Dwayne Ebert and Tom Hose became increasingly frustrated with many years of manually recording and managing the immense amount of client data that trainers collect on a daily basis, they set out to create a system for personal trainers that leveraged mobile technology. Their creation, PT Manager Pro, provides the framework for personal trainers to better manage their clients than they ever could before. This is because, with PT Manager Pro, personal trainers can now track, manage and store all their client data anywhere and have it accessible anytime and on any device.

WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

Streamline all processes performed daily by personal trainers, enabling them to be more professional and productive. They will be able to learn more about their clients and their business, ultimately allowing trainers to easily provide a better, more comprehensive service.

It does this by…

Providing a platform which brings together scheduling, client finance management, exercise program tracking, client assessment tracking and client information management — all accessible from the gym floor, a local park or the office. No longer a need for an overflowing clipboard and filing cabinet, as everything they track, record and manage can be seamlessly integrated into the one cloud-hosted application.

PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

All data is stored much more efficiently and is now accessible wherever and whenever a trainer needs it. We leverage the latest innovations in mobile technology, which allow PTs to enter in all data to the system from anywhere replacing the archaic methods of recording and tracking using pen and paper.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

Major increase in productivity and decrease in administration activities, resulting in an increase of profitability as PTs will have more time to do what they do best. Enables better organisation and assists in allowing trainers to be perceived more professionally.

COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

The use of multiple manual systems would be used by trainers to manage their clients. Trainers would basically use pen and paper, unorganised filing cabinets, overflowing clipboards and scrappy schedule diaries which also resulted in a large carbon footprint. Ultimately there is no previous system that has been utilised by trainers; they have had to make do with manual processes.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

As above.
