Nubis is a new company that is bridging the virtual social world with the real one.

This is accomplished by a phone app that takes an update from any social network and projects it to the surrounding of the customer using Augmented Reality technology. The app not only aggregates all the major social networks, but also aims to be the dominant wearable computing application in the world (i.e. glasses with HUD).
The company got its start in what is perhaps the same way as the classic “origin story” for tech startups.
“We decided to start our own thing when the previous organisation we all worked for folded, and we couldn’t let go of the best team we ever worked with,”   the company tells us.
Asked how they celebrate their successes, the Nubis team tells us, “We don’t really celebrate achievements.”
“We continuously celebrate the path! We try to make our work/life mixture as much ongoing celebration as we can. Some of us are into extreme sports, others in photography and art but all of us are hardcore technology geeks – so we mix in a  whole lot of fun.”
The company describes itself not as a “corporation,” but as a “collective.” A 22nd century one, no less.

They tell us, “We may be ‘working’ more, but we’re also having a lot more fun, therefore ‘living’ a lot more.”

“We acknowledge the imperative necessity for a good sleep, hobbies and social engagement to perform at maximal efficiency and enjoyment – and we embrace that as part of our ‘corporate’ culture.”
