What is 30under30?
30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians. This year saw a surplus of highly qualified entrants, so we thought we would highlight some of the bright and innovative nominees who just missed the Top 30 by a wink. Dale Hansen is practically an old man in the entrepreneurial game — he became a business owner at 19!
His first accomplishment was developing his first website by the age of 16; he later founded Base Media after his multimedia studies convinced him that digital media was his passion.
With each new evolution in coding, he has continued to bring new businesses online.
Lately, Base Media has also taken a direction toward advertising sales on service-oriented sites.
Hansen’s biggest is DealsUnited.net, a daily aggregator that sets itself apart from the rest in several ways.
The site is mobile-friendly, listings can be refined by category and all markets, big and small, across Australia and New Zealand are included. Toowoomba and Geelong, rejoice.

Having ideas and following through with them. It can take time to see ideas come into fruition, but at least I feel satisfied that I have actually done something to get there. I know a lot of people who talk about the great plans they have and then never follow through.
