Meet Jordan Panos, the founder of VacuumParts.com.au, Australia’s leading online vacuum retailer. This young entrepreneur is also behind a number of successful companies including Freshway Service Repairs, Freshway Supplies, Freshway Security and Freshway Property Care.
That’s right, not every young person dreams of starting up a tech business.
It’s all about getting that headstart
While most university kids would spend too much time emptying beer bottles, Panos started a small gardening business with his best friend called “Grass Groomers” with $0 capital and no equipment, using only his mum’s old lawn mower and a used car.
He saw an opportunity in the market to combine cleaning and gardening services together, and rebranded the company Freshway Property Care. The company was sold when he was just 22, and after travelling the world, he returned at 27 to set up a wholesale vacuum parts business.
In 2011 Panos crossed paths with the buyer of Freshway Property Care, Elias Massih, and decided to join forces and set upVacuumParts.com.au, Freshway Service Repairs, Freshway Supplies and Freshway Security.
The rest, they say, is history.
The birth of a mini empire
VacuumParts.com.au may just be over two years old, but what started out as a wholesale business that focused on mining companies, resorts, and government agencies soon expanded to become a vacuum empire that offers over 2000 products, 35 premium internationallocal brands.
True to its specialty, it even offers a service repairs division, a large array of parts accessories, plus additional ranges servicing domestic, commercial, and specialty markets, all conveniently available for purchase online.
“Quite simply we base our business on service. We will go the extra mile for any customer and offer genuine, sound advice on every purchase. In fact, our customers do most of the talking, offering in-depth product reviews and satisfied, quality feedback,” VacuumParts.com.au Founder, Jordan Panos said.
“We saw a gap in the market as there was no specialist online vacuum cleaner site that was truly independent, service orientated and delivered the best possible products at really competitive prices,” he added.
Panos, who is also the Director of the Freshway franchise, had built the company through observing an opportunity in the marketplace to combine cleaning landscaping services. The franchise hosts over four maintenance departments, most recently welcoming VacuumParts.com.au to its business portfolio.
Clearly, the cleaning business can be a very sexy one, if you had the foresight of this young man.
