An ad for the NSW Cancer Council, Sh*t mates don’t say, is designed to get blokes talking to each other about their health.
Well acted, well executed and brilliantly scripted, these really are things that mates don’t say. Some of the great lines include:
“I’m so glad I traded the ute for a Prius.”
“Strong flow, bro!”
“Is that quinoa?”
Backed up with a site that provides statistics that should make every bloke think seriously about their health, such as, men are 84% more likely than women, to die of preventable cancers that are common to both sexes.
This is yet another cracking campaign from a non-profit. We’ve had many of late, including this one, and this. It’s great to see such creativity, humour and engagement from this sector.
