Nearly 20 local startups will get to compete for the chance to win $1 million backing at the StartCon Pitch for $1 Million competition in Brisbane on 5 October, hosted by StartCon, Australia’s largest startup conference, expo and entrepreneur community.
The StartCon Pitch for $1 million competitions are being held in partnership with Australian venture capital firm Right Click Capital across more than a dozen cities in the Asia-Pacific region, which is home to more than 4 billion people. It is the largest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
The next StartCon Pitch for $1 million competition event will be held in Brisbane on Friday 5 October, with an estimated 18 startups set to come and pitch their businesses to potential investors, and for a chance to win a $1 million term sheet from Right Click Capital.
What is StartCon Pitch looking to achieve?
“The StartCon Pitch for $1 Million competition has the potential to be a game changer for local startups looking for recognition and funding,” StartCon CEO Cheryl Mack said. “Brisbane is fast becoming a hotbed of startup innovation, and the local investors, keynote speakers and specialist workshops at this StartCon event represent an invaluable resource for up and coming founders.
“The winner of the Brisbane pitch event will go head-to-head with fellow finalists from StartCon competitions in cities across the region, including Seoul, Shanghai, Manila, Singapore and Melbourne at the main StartCon 2018 event in Sydney on 30 November and 1 December, where they will get their shot at $1 million investment,” Mack said.
