What is the 30under30?

30under30 is an Anthill initiative launched in early 2008 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship among young Australians.

Each year, we invite our readers to nominate young Australian entrepreneurs deserving of recognition for their outstanding entrepreneurial endeavours. More.

Ryan Ebert, VIC (b. 1990)

Name: Ryan Ebert
Age: 26
Gender: MALE
State: VIC
Known for: PHW Group

Though sitting at a desk may seem to be an extremely low-risk form of work, desk jobs come with more health risks than what meet the eye.

Ryan Ebert has dedicated his life to ensuring workplaces know how to make their employees’ environment healthy and productive.

“I have a purpose,” Ryan says. “My work is used to fulfill that purpose, which is to change the stale industry of healthcare and engineer health through design of environments.”

PHW Group describes itself as a national injury prevention consulting firm, specializing in aiding organizations in transforming their workplaces into healthy atmospheres.

By utilizing PHW Group’s services, organizations can expect strong financial return, says the PHW Group’s website. This is because of the proven link between health and productivity.

Ryan created PHW Group because he wanted to make more of an impact than he could as an employee at another company, he say. In fact, he wanted to change the lives of employees across Australia.

Since its founding, PHW Group has impacted the lives of over 10,000 employees nationwide.

In its first two years, PWH Group had already signed with 50 contractors across the nation.

PWH Group does this by using local providers, ensuring advice given is based on local knowledge and understanding, says their website.

The PWH Group team is made up of health professionals, such as Physiotherapists, Group Facilitators and more. Ryan himself is a Physiotherapist but also acts as business director.

Since its creation in 2014, PWH Group has been a finalist in the Melbourne 3000 awards, listed on SMART100 Innovation indexes, praised in other 30under30 awards and much more.

Ryan prides himself on the success of his company and attributes this success to his passion and charisma. He says he has another, less expected quality that benefits him as well.

“I look like I belong in a boy band so no one takes me that seriously,” Ryan says. “It’s surprisingly beneficial in my work.”
