The development of the Roadscout second by second in-vehicle device generates a unique geospatial datum point every second of vehicle travel incorporating comprehensive driver/vehicle data to provide the industry’s most complete driver profile. Use of this information provides an unprecedented insight into actual driver activity. Predictive algorithms and analytics plus education deliver the driver improvement outcomes.

The product identifies poor driver behaviour thereby assisting in delivering improved driver outcomes. There is a strong correlation between poor driving and total cost of ownership and therefore safer drivers produce a more cost effective fleet.

Predecessors use low resolution technology typically originating from a ‘track & trace’ mapping telematics background. The Roadscout device profiles driving behaviour across 60 data points every second the vehicle’s ignition is on. Target Zero is only possible with this level of data granularity. There are approximately 800,000 fleet vehicles in Australia that do not have any sort of in vehicle management system installed. This is our first focus, and then our technology easily scales into international markets. Our target market is organisations with fleet vehicles, either managed themselves or through a Fleet Management Organisation. We are focusing on the driver with the distinct objective of bringing home everyone safely every single day. As an independent provider of the services provided, we can help our customers improve safety but without violating the privacy of employees.
