O3Office

This innovation initially came to life when…

Vickie Johnson (founder & director) was working in her car between coffee shop meetings in the North Queensland heat in December 2009. Sweating and watching the battery power of the laptop depleting, she reflected on the fact that using her iPhone right now she could book a hotel room or a flight to England, but here she was working in the car and having meetings in coffee shops with no other options. Being a woman of action rather than negativity, she set about creating a network providing businesses with access to work or meeting space Australia-wide.

WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

Provide an Australia-wide network of online bookable boardrooms, office suites, hot spots, conference venues and training rooms, which provide access to work and meeting space for all businesses when they are “Out Of Office”.

It does this by…

Acting as a business connector, uniting serviced offices, conference venues and hotels nationwide with businesses seeking work/meeting space; making vacancies at the local level available at a national level. Considered the ‘Wotif’ of the business world, O3Office provides room listings and automated online booking system, allowing customers to book rooms and access them in as little as one hour.

PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

It provides a one-stop shop for businesses requiring work or meeting space nationwide. It caters for rural and metropolitan areas, as well as providing bookable meeting space online.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

  • No more searching the Internet for venues to hold meetings/presentations and payment when booking.
  • Access to work/meeting space Australia-wide (including rural) while venue providers make money out of existing room vacancies and market their business nationally!

COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Using Internet search engines or calling individual tourist boards to seek professional facilities within one region. Most facilities operate independently and in some areas they are not available for general use. O3Office also sources affiliate boardrooms in remote regions to provide a professional solution for that area.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

No one else offers an online booking system for meeting space nationwide. Regus, ServCorp & Christie offer chains of serviced offices which offer bookable work and meeting space, but these are limited to the cities.

TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

Any business operating ‘Out Of Office’ ranging from home-based businesses through to franchise companies, recruitment companies and multinational organisations. Our target market is primarily solopreneurs and at a higher level training facilitators/franchise company/recruitment businesses.

DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY

It is available for sale through…

O3Office‘s fully automated booking system. Payment is made within the site and a booking receipt/invoice complete with a booking PDF detailing GPS coordinates, catering options and car parking of the booked premise is provided.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Firstly, achieve dominance through search engine optimization and PPC campaigns. Secondly we are liaising and forming relations with industry leaders to ensure our product is tailored to our clients: www.o3office.com.au/recruitment
