1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

After many years of working on jobsites that require specific sets of qualifications and certifications, it was apparent that the system of applying for jobs with resumes was ineffectual because they can be written to sell the jobseeker in a way that does not necessarily prove they can do the job. After coming up with an idea of how to remedy this effectively, we set out to see if through social media and useful websites we could gain enough traction to market our product. We did and now we are building software.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…enable the timely and cost-effective management of locating and on-boarding staff for roles in high-compliance sectors, as well as managing those staff employed in a self-auditing manner to maintain their currency.

It does this by…

…providing a central location for people to create a clinical profile based on facts, certificates and qualifications, and enabling companies to connect to these profiles to manage employees, and allowing, in a semi-anonymous way, HR and recruitment personnel to locate and communicate to find the correct people for the positions vacant.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

Existing methods still are based on the opinion of the HR or recruitment personnel; resume readers rely on the quality of the resume. These methods are outdated and this means mostly people are hired for their ability to write or organise a resume and sell themselves in an interview. Whilst this is somewhat important you are not hiring resume writers.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

…self-auditing management of users, lower on-boarding costs, ability for people to manage their own profiles as well as employers, ease of ascertaining personnel availability, faster and more efficient deployment.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Currently people use Internet job sites, newspapers and networks and more recently social media has made an entrance in the search for employees. As for the management of employees, it varies from keeping a visual copy, spreadsheets and expensive proprietary software.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

…Seek, social media (which we will continue to use to market successfully), proprietary software like Damstra, TAMS, and a myriad of other programs available that are very localised in their use.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

…initially mining in Australia, allowing leveraging of the large audience that we already have. Flowing on from this will be associated sectors such as civil and heavy construction, followed by other areas of high compliance as compliance is one of the biggest factors here. Beyond this we will look at global markets and other areas that can benefit from it.

It is available for sale through…

Initially we will market through our own channels and as it is a cloud-based product, there is no distribution.

Our marketing strategy is to…

…continue to grow our own audience of which we are now the largest in Australia by a considerable gap and self-market through these channels. We already reach over a half-million people a month.
