This innovation came to life when…

The owner of Prospectors Supplies identified a way to reduce injuries on mine sites.

The purpose of this innovation is to…

Reduce workplace injuries associated with the manual handling of core trays, and to create a tray that works with industry best practices.

It does this by…

Incorporated side handles for reduced wrist and elbow injuries, removes any sharp edges that can cause cuts or damage to workers’ clothing. The flat base of the tray also allows the tray to work easily with work benches, roller conveyors, pallets etc.

This innovation improves on what came before because…

It addresses the numerous design flaws of other trays. CoreSafe was designed in consultation with some of Australia’s largest mining companies to work the way industry wants it to. Competing trays were developed without consultation and therefore do not function effectively.

The benefits to the customer/end-user include…

  • Reduced work force injury
  • Increased productivity

In the past, this problem was solved by…

The problems were not solved in the past. Customers tolerated the alternative as there were simply no other options.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

Various plastic and metal core trays from competitors.

This innovation is made for…

Mining companies who undertake diamond drilling to obtain mineral samples.

It is available for sale through…

Prospectors locations across Australia, as well as through select international distribution partners.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Let CoreSafe sell itself by providing samples to potential customers for field trial. Once the customer uses CoreSafe and experiences the numerous benefits we then engage them again to convert them from their existing core tray supplier.
