Australian tech start-up BlueChilli will host the Australian leg of the global AngelHack world tour at their Sydney offices on the weekend of May 2-3.
AngelHack organises a global hackathon series that offers a great opportunity for developers and designers, as well as business minds, to join forces and bring ideas to life.
It’s open to anyone with an innovative idea that has the potential to improve or influence people’s lives.
“The theme for AngelHack’s world tour is ‘Thoughts Become Things’ and this is something we live and breathe at BlueChilli,” said Sebastien Eckersley-Maslin, BlueChilli founder and CEO.
The 2015 AngelHack world tour will take place all over the world during April and July.
The winner of the Sydney AngelHack will receive an invitation to participate in the AngelHack HACKcelerator program and the chance to pitch to Silicon Valley investors.

What does it take to win an AngelHack hackathon?
Judges are looking for a hack that people can use, enjoy and potentially scale, but it’s just as important to finish in time – you can’t demo what you haven’t completed!
Priya Dandawate, for example, was part of the winning team at the 2014 Seattle AngelHack. Their hack was Vera, which will offer personalized hair and beauty styles at different price levels.
Priya had this to share about how Vera managed to come out on top from the 140 attendees and 30 teams that showed up on that day in Seattle.
