This week, Apple’s much anticipated iPad became available for US consumers. In Australia, we can’t expect to see the devices floating around our offices and coffee-shops until late April (at the earliest). But to keep your inner-early-adopter satiated until then, here are a couple of user reviews from the crew at Mashable keen to share their tech-lust.

Picture it: a packed basketball stadium with fans going wild. It’s my son’s basketball grand final. There are four seconds on the clock. His team is down by two points. And he’s just been fouled – meaning he has two free throws. He makes his way to the free-throw line – the enemy of even the most accomplished NBA player. If he nets both shots, the game goes into overtime. If not, his team will lose the game.
It starts with a smallish woman bundled up in a gray coat and a big, red scarf. She stands up from her lunch at a food court in a mall in southern Ontario, Canada. A cell phone is pressed to the right ear. She opens her mouth and reveals a fixture-rattling soprano voice that belts the first couple of lines to Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” It’s a very festive flash mob!
