1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation came to life when…

One of the world’s top 10 pharmaceutical companies asked if Evado eClinical could be adapted for animal trials on an iPad. On and off-line functionality was mandatory for times when 3 or 4 G connectivity was unavailable.

The Evado design team began working with the Big Pharma team to create an application that would allow them to run paperless clinical trials on any web enabled mobile device, patented in 2014, we have called it UniFORM.

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

Integrate new or existing applications into a standardized mobile client without having to build application specific mobile clients while taking advantage of smart features on the mobile device.

It does this by…

Using a device and technology independent protocol to integrate the standardized client into the hosted application.

This protocol enables the same client to be integrated into any number of different hosted applications using the UniFORM protocol. The protocol provides a simple API to enable the hosted application to access the smart features of the mobile device.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

It mobile-enables business applications without the need to build application specific mobile front ends. UniFORM is optimised for large complex business systems that have hundreds of different page layouts and complex navigational hierarchies.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

UniFORM replaces multiple business apps with one mobile device client that can access an unlimited number of business systems. UniFORM can save up to 32 per cent of the software development costs associated with building apps.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Prior to UniFORM, mobile apps delivered a specific set of functionality to the user that typically a subset of the business systems’ total functionality, requiring the user to have multiple apps in order to access all of the business system functionality.

UniFORM can access the full functionality of the business system in one mobile application.

Its predecessors/competitors include…

All mobile application developments such as Kony, Cordova, Xamarin, jQuery, PhoneGap etc.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

Independent software vendors that sell large high complexity apps that require a comprehensive mobile front end. This includes healthcare, life sciences, mining, engineering, government services, enterprise resource planning systems.

It is also made for system integrators that need to integrate multiple complex business systems into an integrated mobile environment and software development companies who cannot afford the licensing costs of other mobile application developments.

It is available for sale through…

UniFORM is currently available as an SDK (software development kit) that developers can use to integrate the UniFORM functionality into their new or existing applications.

Our marketing strategy is to…

Publicise UniFORM through attendance at conferences and seminars both in Australia and internationally, development of white papers and case histories through relevant content marketing.

UniFORM is currently being trialled in two universities and we are developing a VAR network, both in Australia and internationally to sell UniFORM and integrate with other business systems. Our exit plan is via trade sale.
