1. THE BEGINNING

This innovation initially came to life when…

Redirect the billions of dollars worth of booking fees generated by live events each year towards solving some of our largest social issues. Humanitix funds domestic violence shelters, meals to the homeless, indigenous scholarships and more!

2. WHAT & HOW

The purpose of this innovation is to…

…operate as the first not-for-profit ticketing platform in the world, and an Australian initiative! Humanitix provides event organisers with a feature-rich, competitively priced ticketing platform whereby 100% of the profit from fees are donated back to the charity of the organisers choice. It’s effective altruism. Event organisers also better engage their community and rally support around an important cause.

It does this by…

…the live events industry is worth billions of dollars and Humanitix is providing a scalable, impactful solution redirecting profits to solve major social issues. Humanitix is also a market leader in accessibility requirements which’ve developed with the help of Microsoft Australia and Vision Australia. Customers are sick of being ripped-off on excessive fees that contribute no social value to society.

3. PURPOSE & BENEFITS

This innovation improves on what came before because…

Significant philanthropic impact with a charity of their choice at no extra cost. This acts as a significant engagement piece with the events community. The platform also provides market-leading accessibility functionality allowing improved event access for attendees with disabilities.

Its various benefits to the customer/end-user include…

No other platform in the world has provided a not-for-profit solution like Humanitix. Accessibility features have been provided in the past however were not nearly as comprehensive and attendee friendly. Unfortunately the problem remains unresolved – booking fees are still a rort, and people with disabilities have major issues participating in live events.

4. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE

In the past, this problem was solved by…

Platforms like Ticketek, Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Moshtix, Ticketbooth, Stickytickets, Iwannaticket, Universe etc. To the best of our knowledge, Humanitix is the first not-for-profit ticketing platform, and the only platform working with Microsoft on accessibility.

5. TARGET MARKET

It is made for…

Event organisers operating within the small to medium event space. Humanitix is a self-service platform that can be used to ticket anything from a 10 person yoga workshop to a 20,000+ person music festival.

We’ve worked with events like the UN’s largest Australian event series, International Women’s, Westfield’s shopping centre events, a major football match for the FFA, and many conferences, Gala dinners and festivals.

Humanitix is made for any event organiser that uses an online ticketing platform for their events. At no extra cost booking fees can be a source for good in this world!

It is available for sale through…

Our website www.humanitix.com. There’s no setup or hidden fee. The only cost is the booking fee which can be passed-on to the ticket purchaser. Event organisers can visit the site, sign-up, create an event and begin selling tickets within minutes.

Our marketing strategy is to…

To date we have spent nothing on marketing and PR. The growth and success of Humanitix has come from word of mouth and warm introductions as our customers who have had a positive experience with Humanitix. In 2018, we have already sold over $3,000,000 in tickets across close to 1,000 events.
