ANZ collaborates with start-up Employment Hero to help business customers manage their HR needs

ANZ has recently announced its collaboration with cloud-based HR platform Employment Hero, offering ANZ customers free access to the market-leading software.

The Employment Hero platform manages the entire employment life-cycle for small-to medium sized businesses. It combines HR software, scheduling and payroll tools, performance management and employee benefits, and financial services into a user-friendly Human Resources Information System.

ANZ Managing Director Corporate and Commercial Banking, Mark Hand said: “Running a small business is tough and being an employer in Australia can be complex, so we want to support our customers beyond just being a traditional bank.

“This platform contains everything an employer needs to recruit, manage, pay and engage their workforce in a simple cloud solution,” Mr Hand said.

“Without effective HR management, businesses are exposed to losing valued employees or breaching compliance requirements. Staying on top of the administration can not only cost them money and time, but can also take business owners away from growing their business.”

What exactly does Employment Hero do?

The Employment Hero platform manages the entire employment life-cycle for SMBs, providing the tools to manage the on-boarding of employees, employment contracts, rostering, timesheets, superannuation provisioning, payroll and more.

It currently services over 40,000 employees, adding between 3000 and 4000 added each month to the platform and also integrates with major accounting companies.

Employment Hero Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ben Thompson said: “By simplifying administrative processes we can help businesses be significantly more productive.”

“It takes 100 pages of paperwork to on-board an employee, this is often then sent by mail and stored in manila folders – a huge waste of resources and time. We remove all this paperwork, sending the right information to the right parties in a secure real-time environment.

“Our goal is to support 10,000 individual businesses by 2020. The ability to deliver Employment Hero to business owners through ANZ’s business bankers and their many other distribution channels is really exciting,” he added.

“If Employment Hero can make being an employer easier, we can help small businesses grow, employ more people and create a stronger Australian economy.”

This ANZ collaboration is another step forward for the start-up after its over-subscribed $3 million capital raise which it extended to $4.5 million.
