Event details:
Chris Higgins Prize Presentation
5.30 – c.7.30pm
Allan Barton Forum, ANU College of Business and Economics

RBA Governor Glenn Stevens is the special guest. He will probably make a short speech (15 minutes or so) and present the prize to the recipient. Probably Jayne Godfrey will make a welcome speech and introduce Mr Stevens and Kieron Meagher will also speak at some stage (maybe to thank Mr Stevens). The other guests will be basically a who’s who of public economists (not sure if Ken Henry and Martin Parkinson will be there, but they were both on the invitation list) plus various members of the College. I think the formal section of the evening will be fairly early in the piece and the remainder of the event will be ‘networking’ over refreshments.

Photos required: covering the formal elements – speakers and presentation and candid shots of people arriving and chatting through the evening. Any other requirements (eg, posed shots of recipient with the donors), Anne will let you know on the evening.

I mentioned a dinner in my original email, but you won’t now be required for that – so all up it’ll probably be over in two hours or so.

Any questions, please let me know.

Cheers,
Stephen Green
