[1]The following SMART 100 profile and the information it contains is a duplication of content submitted by the applicant during the entry process. As a function of entry, applicants were required to declare that all details are factually correct, do not infringe on another’s intellectual property and are not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. Some profiles have been edited for reasons of space and clarity. More about the SMART 100 [2].
Matt Cudworth and John Anderson identified a growing opportunity in the interactive self-service environment in 2003. Following a number of initial trials a breakthrough was made when a recipe printing solution was developed for Meat and Livestock Australia delivering a really cost effective solution for the independant butcher. Yeahpoint florished and we quickly became one of the most prolific printers of recipes in Australia. Butchers loved the solution and the network which formed the cornerstone of Yeahpoint continues to grow today and we are on track to be printing recipes in over 60 countries in numerous languages.
Allow any organisation (Yeahpoint, competitor, brand, retailer, technology manufacturer, etc.) to deliver flexible and reliable self-service solutions faster and cheaper than previously possible and run these on any technology platform; e.g., touch screen, delicatessen scale, kiosk, etc.
Speed to market, lower cost and ultimate flexibility. In the dynamic world of self service, new or amended requirements are always evolving and the yeahWARE core platform allows developers to easily add to or amend existing solutions.
Self-service solution providers developing solutions from either the ground up every time or by utilising web-based technology. Neither of these are ideal as ground-up development is costly, time consuming, and introduces reliability concerns; and web-based solutions simply don’t work in self-service environments (navigation, button size, available time at point of service, etc.).
Any solution provider, retailer, brand, government agency or organisation which has a requirement to automate an existing process for the self-service environment. Current applications include self -service product selection, prepaid mobile, delicatessen pre-ordering and queuing, music and video purchasing and mobile integration, skin analysis/ product suggestion, hearing test, Harley Davidson virtual accessory customiser, clothing fitment guide, and nursing career guidance, to name a few. The yeahWARE platform has currently been deployed on many forms of interactive touch screens ranging from 6″ to 42″ tables as well as alternate technologies such as delicatessen scales.
While the judging is now officially over, you can still show your support for this innovation in one of the following three ways:
