Why I love being proven wrong, well sometimes. I'll admit it, I was wrong about ukuleles

Before giving my two cents worth, I often utter: “I’m happy to be proven wrong”. And, I genuinely mean it.

I have opinions based on the information I have at hand. If more information comes to light, that challenges my opinion, excellent. The moment I stop learning, and adjusting my opinions, I may as well give up.

So, it is with this video and several others by Jake Shimabukuro that I found the need to reassess my opinion of the ukulele.

I give you… now take a breath… Bohemium Rhapsody played on the ukulele at TED in Long Beach, California.

Jake is right. The world may indeed need more ukes.
I can’t believe I typed that out loud.

Ukulele Bohemian Rhapsody

Small business. We see you. NAB.

NAB Business Bankers know what it takes to make a business grow. We work with thousands of small businesses, helping to bring their ideas to life and make their business work.

  1. Great to see you on the leading edge of the wave, James. Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain plays to sell out audiences at Albert Hall.  Two stand outs are Psycho Killer [ http://bit.ly/aF924Z ] and the theme from Shaft [ http://bit.ly/1fzxzp ].

How does Jake make Bohemian Rhapsody work on four tiny plastic strings - unbelievable.  10,000 hours.

Tiny Tim would be proud, if not perplexed.
