What human anthillians can learn from their insect namesake

We’ve always believed that successful entrepreneurs have an uncanny ability to make the right decision, often without all the facts at their disposal. In fact, in 2007, we interviewed Professor Murray Gillan on that exact topic [1].
This week, we discovered to our pleasant surprise that our insect brothers are equally, if not better, able to reach the most opportune conclusion, despite only knowing half the facts.
In this video, scientists from Bristol University observe how ants have evolved to become exceptional house hunters (without needing to make comparisons) and consider what this could mean for the development of ‘intelligent’ computers.
