It reminded me, that no business should assume it knows anything about its customers. That every business should seek to understand its customers, before it makes an approach.
Else, well… I guess your company may also face a smack-down of humiliating proportions.
The biggest thing to remember: Don’t assume you know everything, or, in fact, anything about your customers. You need to ask them, engage with them and, test your theories, products and services. Don’t just assume that you can tell them how it is, what they want and that your business ‘understands’ them. Don’t assume you know what’s going on.
Try that and you may get a swift kick in the pants, just like the thief in this video who wildly misjudges his target.
