Sydney University’s Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering is on the hunt again for Australia’s greatest innovators. Nominations are being sought for the Innovation Heroes Award, which the Warren Centre bestows each year on innovators who have created successful products or services from brilliant engineering ideas or inventions.
According to the Warren Centre:
The Innovation Heroes Award recognises innovations that were conceived and developed in Australia by Australian individuals and companies, and that have been profitably commercialised or otherwise delivered real value. It is open to individuals and teams, in small and large companies.
Last year’s heroes included Lars and Jens Rasmussen, co-designers and developers of the web-based geospatial services software platform achieving world-wide success as Google Maps.
Nominations and self-nominations can be emailed to Warren Centre board member Frank Barr-David at frank.barr-david@aya.yale.edu.
